The current authorities in the Republic of Moldova make a serious mistake when they make Russia an adversary, for the sake of building relations with Europe, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov to the state agency TASS.

Dmitri Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, stated that the current leadership of the Republic of Moldova is making a serious mistake by antagonizing Russia in order to build relations with Europe. This comes in the context of adopting a military strategy that identifies Russia as the main threat to national security. Peskov compared the situation in Moldova to that of Ukraine, emphasizing that such a direction does not bring benefits. He also accused the Moldovan authorities of clinging to power, continuing an unfriendly line towards Moscow.
