Irina Vlah, candidate for the parliamentary elections on September 28, will have her funds and economic resources blocked, according to the announcement by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean. This measure is part of the international sanctions imposed by Canada to combat Russian interference. Recently, the CNA and the National Police conducted searches in Gagauzia and Chișinău, as part of an investigation related to electoral corruption, detaining four individuals. Vlah accused the government of political pressure around the elections. Polls show a tight competition between her electoral bloc and the current government.
