Vlad Gheorghe, about the economic decline and inflation in Romania: 'The people who caused this economic disaster should have stayed at the table, not left'

Vlad Gheorghe, honorary advisor to the dismissed Prime Minister, Ilie Bolojan, discussed the INS data showing an inflation rate of 10.7% in April and a decrease in GDP of 1.5% in the first quarter of 2025.

He states that Romania is now paying for expenses from previous years, emphasizing that political instability generates panic among citizens, which affects the real economy. Gheorghe observes that people are postponing contract signing and bill payments due to political uncertainty. Additionally, he criticizes the PSD for the lack of effective solutions to reduce inflation, suggesting that their departure from the government contributes to the prolongation of the economic crisis. This situation reflects a continuity of economic problems, and the necessary measures are not being implemented due to political instability.
