USR Senator Ciprian Rus, the chairman of the IT&C Committee, has submitted a legislative initiative to unify the way citizens interact with the online pages and services of public institutions.

The project provides for the creation of a Unique Digital Design System (UDDS), which will establish common rules for all digital services of the state, including forms, error messages, and notifications. Ciprian Rus emphasized that the online state currently operates as an "archipelago" of different websites, which creates confusion for citizens. The UDDS would bring coherence and predictability in the use of digital public services, including accessibility requirements for people with disabilities. The initiative does not impose a specific technology but establishes an open standard aimed at reducing costs and accelerating the development of online services. It aligns with practices adopted by other states with similar government design systems.
