The interim Minister of Defense of Romania, Radu Miruță, announced that the Slovak government has approved the sending of low-altitude radars and specialized personnel for their use in Romania. The announcement was made on Tuesday, during the informal meeting of the EU Defense Ministers, which is taking place in Wicklow, Ireland.

The minister emphasized the importance of this support in response to calls made at the NATO and EU level for strengthening surveillance capabilities at Romania's eastern border. He thanked his Slovak counterpart, Robert Kaliňák, and highlighted the progress made by the National Defense Ministry in recent months, emphasizing the effective cooperation between states. Miruță stated that Romania has demonstrated that it is a serious partner that fulfills its responsibilities before seeking external assistance.
