On February 19, the Government of Romania will hold a meeting to analyze a draft law for amending Government Emergency Ordinance no. 5/2015, aimed at transposing Directive (EU) 2024/884. The proposed amendments aim to clarify the responsibilities of producers of electrical and electronic equipment in managing the waste generated. Additionally, a draft resolution will be discussed to establish the minimum gross salary nationwide and an ordinance to amend Law no. 76/2002 regarding unemployment insurance.

The government will approve investment projects in the field of natural gas, including the modernization of several measuring stations. The Note of justification for equipping emergency services with ambulances will also be reapproved. Furthermore, a memorandum will be discussed to obtain a tax exemption on dividends for Romania's investments in venture capital funds from the Netherlands and to update the European Commission's database regarding Country-Specific Recommendations.
