The PSD-AUR motion of censure was read on Wednesday in the joint plenary of the two Chambers of Parliament by the leader of the AUR senators, Petrișor Peiu. The debate and vote on the motion will take place next Tuesday, on May 5.

We remind you that the motion of censure "STOP the "Bolojan Plan" for the destruction of the economy, the impoverishment of the population, and the fraudulent sale of state assets!" is initiated by 254 deputies and senators, according to the announcement in the joint plenary.

The document calls for the dismissal of the government led by Ilie Bolojan, accusing him of confusion between reform and sale, as well as a policy that generates poverty. The signatories argue that the Executive is preparing a massive alienation of strategic assets without public consultation, and the transactions would be carried out opaquely, favoring narrow circles. Additionally, reference is made to a controversial statement by the Prime Minister, who compared certain categories of people to "the rabble."

PSD has called on "all liberal thinkers who think alike, but have not yet had the courage to express themselves, to do so in these days," referring to the fact that "in recent days, several important voices from PNL, both at the central level and from the territory, are talking about the need for a post-Bolojan political dialogue between the parties that make up the governing coalition."

"We call on responsible leaders to understand that supporting Bolojan until the white flags, at the head of a non-functional government, means destroying any chance of pulling the economy out of recession, with a dramatic effect on the lives of Romanians! The fact that Ilie Bolojan clings to any price of office – contrary to what he publicly expressed, repeatedly, last year – only represents an aggravation of the country's economic situation. A concrete example is the fact that he is currently blocking, without logic, the application of the economic recovery measures proposed by PSD and accepted by the governing Coalition," PSD stated in a communication posted on Facebook.

The PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, was absent from the reading of the motion, being in France, but he conveyed on Facebook that he also wishes to "continue on the pro-European path."
