The proposed bill by PNL deputies allows the use of Bodycam devices by local police to improve the efficiency of activities and to protect citizens and police officers. Audio-video recordings can be made without the consent of individuals for the purpose of maintaining public order and preventing crimes. The data obtained will be used exclusively for these purposes and will be kept for a maximum of 6 months. Access to recordings will be limited and will be done in accordance with the law, ensuring the protection of the rights of the individuals concerned. The law will come into effect after the approval of the implementing regulations.
