A senator elected on the SOS Romania lists has joined PNL. Adrian Peiu takes over the leadership of the branch in Ialomița.

The leader of PACE - In Romania, senator Adrian Peiu, who entered Parliament on the SOS Romania lists, announced on Wednesday, in the plenary session of the Senate, that he has decided to join the National Liberal Party (PNL). Moreover, he has also become the head of the PNL Ialomița branch, after the liberals decided not to extend the interim for 12 local organizations.

 "I don't believe this is about any reward, it is about a senator from Ialomița County," said liberal deputy Ionel Bogdan on Tuesday when asked if the decision to bring a senator elected on the S.O.S Romania lists to PNL Ialomița was a reward for not supporting the Veștea Government.

We remind you that on Tuesday, PNL decided, in the meeting of the National Permanent Bureau, not to extend the leadership mandates for 12 branches, including those led by Alina Gorghiu or Hubert Thuma.
