Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu has announced that Romania will propose legislation to criminalize the circumvention of EU sanctions imposed on Russia, in line with EU directives. The draft, which has already been made public, will penalize both individuals and companies involved in such practices. The measures also target indirect attempts to circumvent the restrictions, in view of the recent sanctions adopted by the European Union. The law will include criminal sanctions for various acts of sanctions circumvention.
