The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, stated that Romania has "open doors" in Washington for attracting investments in areas such as energy, infrastructure, and technology.
Following a tour of meetings with representatives of key institutions in the USA, Nazare discussed strategic projects with officials from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Romania has resumed collaboration with the World Bank Group for investments in energy and infrastructure, including nuclear projects in Cernavodă. Nazare emphasized the importance of political stability for maintaining the confidence of American investors, warning that its absence could lead to higher financing costs and delays or cancellations of investments.
His participation in the spring meeting of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Washington underscores Romania's commitment to leveraging investment opportunities.
