Radu Miruță, the Minister of National Defense, emphasized the importance of signing individual procurement programs through the SAFE Program by May 31, warning that otherwise, the funds will be lost..

He dismissed speculation regarding financial combinations, stating that those who inquire about SAFE are more interested in personal profits than in equipping the Romanian Army. Miruță confirmed that Romania needs to invest in these programs, considering that they are the most advantageous equipping options available.

He also mentioned that the Ministry of Defense has prepared the necessary documentation and is awaiting localization criteria from the Ministry of Economy to proceed with signing contracts.
