The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, announced that he has not received any request from the Constitutional Court (CCR) regarding an impact study for the amendment of the special pensions law. He emphasized that the CCR judges have the obligation to be completely independent, having personal responsibility for their decisions. Marinescu mentioned that the Ministry of Justice has no responsibilities in the CCR procedures and that, in the event it receives a concrete request, it will act in good faith.

The President of the CCR, Simina Tănăsescu, confirmed the postponement of the decision regarding the pensions of magistrates, explaining that the interruption of deliberations can be justified procedurally, but did not confirm the request for an impact study from the Government, considering it irrelevant for the judges' analysis.
