Radu Marinescu, the Minister of Justice, stated that he had not had discussions with the President of the High Court, Lia Savonea, regarding the Recorder's revelations about corruption in the judicial system. He emphasized that resignation is a personal act and sent a message to the judicial system to restore order and verify the accusations. In the context of public protests, Marinescu called for professional and rational actions, stressing that any deviation from legal norms must be sanctioned.

He insisted on the importance of presenting concrete evidence in cases of corruption and urged the Prosecutor's Offices to act decisively. He also mentioned that the Judicial Inspection has initiated checks following the Recorder documentary, which highlighted systemic issues in justice. Judges and prosecutors publicly supported the accusations, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation in the Romanian judicial system.
