Radu Marinescu, the Minister of Justice, commented on the decision of the Constitutional Court to allow the reduction of judges' pensions and the increase of the retirement age, expressing concerns related to the human resources in justice.

He urged judges to remain dedicated to their profession, emphasizing that those who meet the retirement conditions are protected. Marinescu highlighted the necessity of ensuring personnel schemes and promoted cooperation between institutions to enhance the efficiency of justice. He mentioned that, despite the challenges, it is essential for judges to contribute to the improvement of the system through digitalization and alternative case resolution, in order to restore trust in justice.
