Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that inflation will decrease in 2026, thanking Romanians for their patience in the face of economic difficulties. He emphasized that, to combat tax evasion, the amounts allocated to parties and parliamentarians will be reduced by 10%, and the minimum wage will increase from the middle of next year. In state companies, salaries will no longer increase, except for those that are profitable. Bolojan mentioned that reducing expenses in administration will also involve layoffs, and each authority will have to justify its personnel. The Prime Minister assured that taxes will not increase, provided that fiscal discipline is maintained, emphasizing that Romania needs to become a predictable country to reduce interest rates and allow for the indexing of salaries and pensions.
