President Nicușor Dan announced a referendum among magistrates, in response to signals of irregularities in the justice system. Currently, work is underway on the ballots that will be used in this endeavor. Dan mentioned that, depending on the results of the referendum, the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) may be forced to resign urgently. Magistrates have expressed concerns regarding issues in the justice system, requesting secret meetings with the president to avoid repercussions. The details of the referendum are being established, and the ballots could be sent by courier. The president intends to participate in a CSM meeting after he has clear information about the situation in the justice system. He also suggests that pressure from magistrates has influenced the attitude of some judges at the CCR.
