Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has announced a new package of measures aimed at reforming public administration and health care, including staff cuts and possible house tax increases of up to 70%. Bolojan stressed that the state can no longer sustain excessive spending to local authorities because of the deficit. He also noted that reforms are essential to avoid Romania's default and anticipated economic stabilization in the next year and a half.
