<p>Anamaria Gavrilă claims that Romania's two major political players are soliciting sovereignist MPs through illicit promises of money, public subsidies and other improper benefits. She calls on the relevant institutions to investigate these practices and to protect the integrity of political action in Romania. According to the leader of POT, the party that supports the candidacy of Călin Georgescu for the presidency, the political corruption scheme follows a well-known scenario: parliamentarians are lured with financial promises and positions, being instructed to declare that they no longer find themselves in their parties.
