Ilie Bolojan announced that PNL will absorb Forța Dreptei to support the performance of mayor Ciprian Ciucu and ensure the majority in the General Council.

The Prime Minister of Romania and the president of PNL, Ilie Bolojan, explained the reasons why PNL will absorb Forța Dreptei, led by Ludovic Orban. Bolojan emphasized that this absorption is essential to create favorable political conditions for Ciprian Ciucu, the new mayor of the Capital, considering that the majority in the General Council is also secured by Forța Dreptei. He mentioned that PNL needs to have authority over the organization in Bucharest and an extensive group of counselors to face future challenges. Additionally, Bolojan highlighted that the closeness to Forța Dreptei is justified by the support it received in the recently concluded electoral campaign, alongside the REPER formation. Collaboration with these political groups is seen as an opportunity to strengthen PNL's position in Bucharest and to ensure a critical mass necessary for future decisions.
