PNL adopted, on Sunday, important changes to the party's Statute during the Extraordinary Congress. The main changes include reducing the number of first vice-presidents from four to one and establishing the National Permanent Bureau, which will replace the Executive Bureau deemed inefficient.
The new leadership structure will include the president, one first vice-president, eight national vice-presidents, and eight presidents of county organizations, who will become regional vice-presidents. Additionally, PNL will return to electing leadership based on motions, and candidates for the presidency will propose teams for leadership positions.
Another important change is the creation of the National Commission for Litigation, which will ensure compliance with the statute and adjudicate internal disputes. The procedure for amending the statute was initiated by the National Commission for Statute and Regulations, which analyzed and proposed these changes following discussions in the National Council.
