Gabriel Andronache: Ilie Bolojan can be appointed prime minister again if the president does not aim for early elections and a new majority is formed.

Gabriel Andronache, the leader of the PNL deputies, announced that Ilie Bolojan can be appointed prime minister again, according to the decision of the Constitutional Court from 2020. This stipulates that a prime minister dismissed by a motion of censure can be reinstated, provided that the President of Romania does not seek early elections.

Gabriel Andronache emphasized that PNL has decided not to form a new coalition with PSD, which fulfills another necessary condition. Additionally, a "reasonable period of time" is required from the motion of censure to allow for a change in the Parliament's opinion.

Andronache concluded that there are no constitutional impediments for Ilie Bolojan to be proposed again for the position of Prime Minister.
