PNL leaders have decided to convene an extraordinary Congress on Sunday at 12:00 PM at Romexpo, according to sources within the party.

This decision was made following a meeting of the National Political Bureau, which took place today, and represents a first step in the process of expelling Adrian Veștea from the party.

Prior to the Congress, an extended meeting of the National Council will take place on Friday. Also during today's meeting, Cătălin Predoiu announced his resignation from the position of first vice-president of PNL.
