Mircea Fechet, PNL deputy, called for a national pact for the vaccination of children, highlighting the dangers of misinformation related to vaccines. He mentioned that, in the last three years, 30 unvaccinated children have died from measles, emphasizing the recent outbreaks of the disease. Fechet accuses extremist politicians and certain doctors of spreading misinformation. Vaccination coverage in Romania is below 80%, which contributes to measles epidemics, and the WHO recommends a coverage of at least 95% to prevent outbreaks.
