President Nicușor Dan declared on Tuesday that the Government has been dismissed by Parliament, emphasizing that, although it is not a happy moment for democracy, it is a democratic decision.
He called for calm, highlighting the stability of Romania and the functioning of state institutions. Nicușor Dan mentioned that he will begin informal consultations with the parties to form a new government, which will be pro-Western and will respect the agreed strategic directions. He emphasized the consensus among pro-Western parties on important issues, such as joining the OECD and executing the budget for 2026.
Nicușor Dan promised that he will take into account the expectations of Romanians regarding the functioning of the state and corruption, ruling out the scenario of early elections and ensuring that a new government will be formed within a reasonable timeframe.
