Nicușor Dan, optimistic message for Romanians, one day before the motion of censure is to be voted in Parliament

The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, stated on Monday, just a few hours before the vote on the motion of censure against the Bolojan Government in Parliament, that "Romania will continue to maintain a pro-Western direction, no matter what happens."

"I want to assure Romanians that, no matter what happens, Romania will continue to maintain a pro-Western direction, the state will continue to function," said Nicușor Dan from Armenia, at the 8th edition of the European Political Community (CPE) summit.

When asked about the chances of the censure motion, Dan said, "I have, obviously, my opinion, but I do not want to make speculations and predictions."

At the same time, the president estimated that a "situation of uncertainty regarding the political compliance of the Government will last for a week or two."

"We should not be worried, because there is a commitment to the pro-European direction and on important issues."

The censure motion will be read on Tuesday at 11:00 in Parliament.

With less than 24 hours before the censure motion against the Bolojan Government is to be voted in Parliament, PNL parliamentarians have established that they will be present tomorrow at the debate of the motion, but not at the vote.
