Following the recent incidents with Russian drones, President Nicușor Dan approved the repositioning of refueling aircraft and a contingent of the USA to Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base 57. These ISR aircraft will support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance activities. The Ministry of National Defense has already mobilized two F16 aircraft to monitor the situation at the border with Ukraine, after Russian airstrikes.
