The Vice President of the European Parliament, Nicu Ștefănuță, criticizes George Simion for cutting a cake in the shape of Greenland, emphasizing the seriousness of the gesture.

Nicu Ștefănuță, independent MEP and Vice-President of the European Parliament, vehemently criticized the gesture of George Simion, the leader of AUR, who cut a cake shaped like Greenland with the American flag on top during his visit to the United States. In a video message, Ștefănuță stated: "Let him choke on that cake!", emphasizing that such actions are not a joke, especially when discussing serious issues.

On the same day, PNL deputy Alexandru Muraru announced that he would refer the "irresponsible" gestures of Simion to the Legal Committee of the Chamber of Deputies for analysis. He received an award in the USA for his work in defending freedom of expression and democracy in Europe.
