The NATO Youth Summit, proposed by Mircea Geoană, has been canceled, official sources confirming that it will no longer take place.

The event, called the NATO Youth Summit, was to be a springboard for Geoană's presidential bid. He made numerous appearances in Romania, using North Atlantic Alliance resources. At the same time, NATO avoided giving details about the costs of Geoană's visits to Romania.
