<p>In a joint plenary session, MPs are considering a legislative proposal to amend Law 96/2006. The initiative envisages increasing the deduction from MPs' allowances for unjustified absences from 1% to 5%. This applies to non-participation in approved parliamentary activities. The decision comes against the backdrop of a parliamentary strike announced by AUR and POT, following the rejection of Călin Georgescu's candidacy.
