The Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, announced on Facebook that he has signed 15 orders for the demolition of illegal constructions on public land in the central area of the city. These constructions visually affect the city, block sidewalks, and contribute to a sense of disorder. The mayor has requested the Local Police to check all illegal constructions in the central area, especially those in protected areas.

Additionally, Ciprian Ciucu has analyzed the reasons why permits for occupying public land for terraces and restaurants are difficult to obtain. He mentioned that measures for reducing bureaucracy and easing the authorization process are being considered. The encountered problems include proposing too many tables, placing them in front of other restaurants, and confusion between types of urban furniture. The mayor announced that he will invite representatives of the HORECA industry for discussions to find solutions that will allow the legal conduct of commercial activities without affecting the appearance of the city.
