The section for judges of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) communicated to President Nicușor Dan and the Government the results of a consultation with judges, conducted through an online questionnaire. The analysis shows that over 98% of judges have felt a public campaign against justice in the last year, and 67% support the positions of the CSM. Judges believe that the passivity of Parliament and the decisions of the CCR have contributed to the problems in the system, including the statute of limitations for criminal liability.
In the context of these results, Nicușor Dan announced a referendum to assess the perception of magistrates regarding the CSM, and had discussions with representatives of the magistrates, including about the way of consulting them.
