Deputy Ionuț Stroe announced that he will contest his dismissal from the position of president of the Sector 4 PNL organization, a decision made by the National Political Bureau (BPN) of the party. Stroe criticized the leadership of PNL, stating that it focuses on internal conflicts instead of addressing government issues.
He emphasized that the procedure used for his dismissal was annulled by the PNL Arbitration Court and that the law cannot be applied retroactively. Stroe argued that the poor results of PNL in Bucharest are more a result of the national political context and the underperformance of the candidate for the General Mayor, rather than the activity of the sector organizations.
He called on PNL to focus on the real issues of Romania, such as taxes and bureaucracy, and not on internal squabbles. Additionally, the BPN decided to dismiss the presidents and dissolve the County Political Bureaus for six branches of the party, including sectors 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Bucharest. The leadership of PNL claims that the decisions were made in accordance with the party's statute.
