Ionuț Moșteanu, the Minister of Defense, published his bachelor's degree from Bioterra University on Facebook after being accused of falsifying his CV, which mentioned Athenaeum University. Moșteanu admitted that it was a mistake that embarrasses him, explaining that he did not pay enough attention to the details in the past. He detailed his educational journey, mentioning that he enrolled in Automation in 1992 but did not finish, choosing to focus on work.

He graduated from Bioterra in 2015, obtaining a degree in managerial engineering. He also emphasized that he had a 20-year career in Romanian and multinational companies, without benefiting from political favors. Athenaeum University denied that Moșteanu was ever a student there, emphasizing that the Management program did not operate during the mentioned period. His reaction comes after the publication Libertatea reported on the inconsistencies in his CV.
