On the occasion of the Navy Day, Minister Cătălin Predoiu emphasized the strategic importance of river and maritime security for Romania, in the context of current geopolitical challenges. Since the beginning of 2025, the Border Police's marine structures have carried out more than 8,100 patrol missions and participated in international operations, including in the Mediterranean Sea. The Ministry will continue to invest in modernizing equipment and training personnel to effectively respond to security challenges.
