The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated in Constanța that the national budget for the year 2026 must reflect the party's vision. He emphasized the importance of having the budget approved in Parliament with PSD's proposals, highlighting that, in the absence of these, the budget will not be voted on at all. Grindeanu explained that the budget is not just a simple table of revenues and expenditures, but a representation of the party's priorities and political objectives.
"When you have a coalition of four parties plus a minority group, you are accountable to everyone. Mr. Bolojan is not just the prime minister of USR. No, Bolojan is also the prime minister of PSD and UDMR, and even of PNL. He is the prime minister of this coalition, and that is why I make these clarifications, to say that in these months we have not felt him as the prime minister of a coalition. He has rather been the prime minister of one formation in this coalition, and that is not PNL, it is USR. We are in government as long as we have a real say. What I said yesterday was a simple thing, which is contested today or which, let’s say, provoked these reactions, that we, in PSD, after 8 months in government, want to conduct an internal consultation on whether we continue or not in this coalition and if we choose to continue, in what form we continue." said Sorin Grindeanu, in Constanța.
