Sorin Grindeanu asks ANAF to control traders to verify compliance with the capping of the commercial markup on basic foodstuffs.

Sorin Grindeanu suspects that traders have raised prices to justify not extending the cap on commercial markups from October 1. He believes that the cap at 20% has been beneficial in reducing inflation and protecting low incomes. Grindeanu calls for verification of compliance with commercial markup limits and the prohibition of re-invoicing to processors. ANAF must urgently present a report on inspections, as Grindeanu suggests a sabotage strategy from some traders.
