Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of PSD, stated on Monday evening that his party can form a majority in Parliament. However, Grindeanu emphasized that this majority does not align with the criteria set by Nicușor Dan, who declared that he would not accept a government that includes AUR. Nicușor Dan's message, conveyed after consultations with the parties at the Cotroceni Palace, highlighted his desire to form a pro-Western government, supported by a solid parliamentary majority. He stressed the importance of responsibility and maturity of the parties to reach a consensus in a timely manner.
"We told him that ultimately we can gather a majority in Parliament, that we can have a government, proof that we gathered 281 votes to change Ilie Bolojan, the necessary number being 233, only that this majority does not meet the criteria required by him," said the PSD leader on Romania TV
