Elena Lasconi, after Ciprian Ciucu's victory: "A good day for democracy"

Elena Lasconi posted a photo on Facebook alongside Ciprian Ciucu, who has been declared the winner in the elections for the Bucharest City Hall, according to several polling agencies. In contrast, the USR candidate, Cătălin Drulă, achieved a disappointing result, placing 4th with 12.6%. Lasconi, who was president of USR from June 2024 to May 2025, had a controversial departure from the position, criticizing her colleagues for withdrawing political support in favor of Nicușor Dan. Despite having internal conflicts, Lasconi remains a USR member and holds the position of mayor of the city of Câmpulung Muscel.
