The government has officially set the organization of elections for the General City Hall of the Capital and other localities on December 7, with a reduced electoral campaign.

In the Thursday meeting, the Government decided to organize elections for the General Mayor of the Capital on December 7, concurrently with elections for the Buzău County Council and ten other localities without a mayor. The electoral period is limited, having 35 days, and the electoral campaign will take place over only 15 days, compared to 30 days in the case of general local elections. Candidates can submit their candidacy files between 30 and 20 days before the elections. Voting will take place between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. In Buzău County, the position of president of the County Council has remained vacant, and Marcel Ciolacu is a name mentioned for this position.
