The president of USR, Dominic Fritz, reacted positively to the Constitutional Court's decision to confirm the constitutionality of the special pensions reform and the retirement age of judges. He described this decision as a "gesture of normality" and a reaffirmation of democracy, emphasizing that political mistakes can be corrected through voting.

Fritz mentioned that USR, along with many members of civil society, was on the "right side of history" and emphasized that this decision paves the way for reforms aimed at reducing privileges and the influence of special interests in Romania.

He also acknowledged that not everyone will accept this decision with enthusiasm, but reiterated the importance of political accountability and moral clarity in implementing reforms. This statement comes in the context of the CCR's validation of legislative changes regarding the special pensions of judges, which opens the way for the application of the new provisions.
