Speaking on Realitatea Plus, Crin Antonescu harshly criticized President Nicușor Dan's economic commitments, stressing that the promise to reduce the deficit without tax increases is an illusion. Antonescu warned that such statements denote an ideological derailment in Romanian politics. He also voiced fears that the political transition could lead to regrets towards the Iohannis regime, suggesting the need for a new conservative party if the PNL does not clarify its political identity.
