Ciprian Ciucu, recently elected general mayor of the Capital, declared that his priority will be to continue the projects started in Sector 6, such as the works at Liniei Park, Morii Lake Park, and Grozăvești Park, as well as the construction of schools. He emphasized the importance of reviewing delayed projects and preparing an assessment of them. Ciucu mentioned that he is waiting for approval from ANAF to sign the contract for a hospital in Sector 6 and highlighted the need to evaluate the status of existing construction sites.
During the transition period, Ciucu will collaborate with the interim mayor, Stelian Bujduveanu, to familiarize himself with the activities of the General Mayor's Office. He anticipated a difficult period, especially regarding the preparation of the budget, but hopes to bring visible improvements to the central area of Bucharest. Ciucu promised transparency and annual evaluations of his work, continuing the practices from his previous term as sector mayor. He acknowledged the financial challenges faced by PMB and emphasized that reforms will be necessary to advance significant projects.
