The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, announced that ANAF has advanced software that integrates 11 databases and uses artificial intelligence to track risk indicators. This system, which is now operational, will contribute to the digitalization of the tax administration, a process that will be completed by the end of 2026.
Nazare emphasized that, although digitalization is not an extremely advanced project, ANAF aims to complete all milestones set in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNR) by June 2026. The software is already used by other tax administrations in Europe and will allow for the expansion of the complexity of searches and risk indicators, thus improving ANAF's efficiency in managing taxation.
