Alina Gorghiu, the president of PNL Argeș, stated that the party needs to find solutions to unblock the political crisis and should not remain in opposition, as the PNL leadership voted in a recent resolution. She criticized claims that a liberal proposed as prime minister would be a "puppet," emphasizing that there are former presidents in the party who have held the position of prime minister.
Although she did not support the dismissed prime minister, Gorghiu stated that she would back him if the party decided to propose him again. She highlighted the importance of finding solutions to avoid a period of interim leadership, considering the economic issues Romania is facing.
Gorghiu mentioned that a political party cannot go to voters to say it will remain in opposition and expressed the desire to have a liberal prime minister to manage the country's issues. Within PNL, several leaders contest the decision not to negotiate with PSD, and some do not rule out a possible future alliance.
