Romania's problems: wasteful spending and poor absorption of EU funds

Dan Vîlceanu, former Minister of Finance in the Cîțu Government, analyzes the budget crisis in Romania, in a podcast moderated by journalist Ioana Ene Dogioiu, saying that reaching the parameters agreed with the European Union is impossible, under current conditions, without VAT increase and suggests that the only way for the value added tax to remain the same would be to renegotiate with Brussels the 2025 Budget, which was wrongly calculated.
