The ZERO COMPROMISES campaign was launched in Romania to develop a culture of responsibility in the marketing of tobacco and nicotine products, based on the principle of the saying "Beautiful eyes do not replace an ID card." This initiative comes against the backdrop of an INSCOP Research survey from April 2026, which shows that six out of ten Romanians believe that the legislation prohibiting minors' access to these products is insufficiently enforced. The campaign aims to prevent access to tobacco and nicotine products for individuals under 18, promoting shared responsibility in protecting them. The campaign partners include the National Authority for Consumer Protection, the Association of Municipalities in Romania, Philip Morris Romania, HORA, and Mega Image. They have created a dedicated platform, www.zerocompromisuri.ro, to inform the public and encourage the involvement of all market players, parents, and authorities in achieving the goal of protecting minors. Campaign representatives emphasize that "no compromises" means "zero tolerance" and that the involvement of everyone is essential to ensure a safe environment for young people.
