Super Technologies becomes the first company founded in Romania to be part of the Board of Directors of the EGBA, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring high standards in the industry and to the sustainable regulation of the European online gambling market.

Brussels, July 16, 2026 - The European Betting and Gaming Association (EGBA) announces that Super Technologies (Super) has joined its Board of Directors. This appointment reflects the increasingly valuable contribution that Super brings to the activities of the EGBA, just two years after joining this association, which took place in October 2024. EGBA is the professional association based in Brussels that represents the main licensed and regulated online gambling operators in the European Union. The association collaborates with national and European authorities, as well as with other relevant entities, to develop a regulated online gambling market that is sustainably regulated to protect consumers. Alongside other Board members, Super will contribute to raising industry standards and effectively combating the black market of gambling. "Since joining EGBA, Super has been an exceptionally active and engaged member. Therefore, we are pleased that it has joined the Board of Directors. The company's vision and experience in the markets in which it operates will represent an essential contribution to our association's efforts to strengthen a European online gambling environment that is safe for consumers, competitive for licensed operators, and fairly regulated," appreciates Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of EGBA. For his part, Borut Petek (photo), Chief Global Affairs Officer at Super Technologies added: "Europe has the opportunity to become the global benchmark for a gambling and betting market that is properly regulated. To achieve this goal, close cooperation between operators, regulatory authorities, and decision-makers is necessary, as well as a constant commitment to raising standards. There is also a need for joint action to strengthen consumer protection and market integrity, combat illegal gambling, and ensure that licensed and regulated operators remain the safest choice for consumers. We are honored to join the EGBA Board of Directors and look forward to working closely with other members to promote policies that support high regulatory standards, contribute to sustainable growth, and help shape a viable future for the regulated gambling market in Europe." Currently, EGBA members hold a total of 401 online gambling licenses in 22 European countries, each of which involves compliance with strict requirements. They also adhere to the standards and codes of conduct adopted by the association in the field of responsible advertising, prevention of money laundering, and player protection. As part of its commitment to protecting players, EGBA annually organizes European Responsible Gaming Week, an initiative that brings together industry representatives to promote safe, responsible, and sustainable gaming behavior for consumers. *** About Super Technologies Super Technologies (Super) is a global technology company dedicated to building the future of entertainment and experiences dedicated to sports fans.
