The UDMR, through its leader Kelemen Hunor, criticized the absence of consultations in the coalition on a draft law limiting the withdrawal of funds from private pensions. The bill, which will delay adoption for a week, envisages that pensioners will only be able to withdraw 25% of their accumulated money, with the rest paid out monthly. The Association of Romanian Users of Financial Services accused the regulations of favoring fund managers, while the ASF president justified the changes by comparing them with European models, pointing out that full withdrawal is not the practice in other countries.
