The Minister of Economy, Bogdan Ivan, announced that Dragomirești will host a NATO Center of Excellence for the production of ammunition, with an investment of 220 million dollars.

The NATO Ammunition Center of Excellence in Dragomirești will produce ammunition compatible with NATO standards, including for Abrams tanks and K9 systems. This represents a strategic investment of 220 million dollars, following an agreement with the US. Bogdan Ivan underlined the importance of developing production capacities in Romania, aiming for a 300% budget increase by 2025. The projects include factories for powders and drones, with the aim of making Romania a net exporter on the international market.
